My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Gaston is still taking his time warming up to us here at the shelter. He came from a rough situation and understandably has a hard time trusting people and new faces. Once he comes around and lets you pet him, he will purr to show how much he enjoys the attention. Gaston is still fearful at quick movements. He will come to the front of the kennel to get his pets, but then runs to the back of the kennel when he hears a loud noise or if you move to fast. He doesn't seem to like being held, but that may change once he warms up to everyone. He is a very good hide and seek player! He could be hiding in a spot for a while and wouldn't make his presence known for a long time. He's a very sneaky boy! He doesn't seem to mind other cats. He's very cautious, but curious, as he walks through the cat room to investigate the other kennels.

We feel once Gaston starts warming up to the world around him more and realizes that he's no longer going to be treated how he was in the past, he will be a good companion to have in the home.
