My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Ophelia “Ophie” recently found herself back with her foster family due to no fault of her own after growing up in a home for the last 7 months. She is just under a year old and 55 pounds. She is a mixed breed pup (pittie, border collie, blue tick coonhound, German shepherd, & great pyrenees just to name a few!) with very unique white/tan markings on her black coat. She is spayed and microchipped.

Ophie’s foster family has nothing but wonderful things to say about her. She is very sweet, calm tempered, loves people, does wonderfully in public places, sleeps through the night, is house broken, has great house manners (no chewing things she shouldn’t, okay to be left alone for a few hours), is not barky, loves lounging and snuggling with you on the couch, loves to play with toys, and gets along with all of the dogs in her foster home. She is submissive toward dogs when first meeting them and is respectful of their boundaries. She previously lived with kids in her previous home and is very loving toward any kids that she meets. The only things that she needs some work on is barking at other dogs she sees on walks, begging for people food (though she does listen to leave it and will give up and stop begging after a minute or so), she can play rough with smaller dogs (she doesn’t realize how big and strong she is!) and she does like to chase cats and would probably be better in a home without them.

Ophie is such a special girl and deserves an amazing forever home that will give her tons of love and attention. When she’s happy her tail hits the wall so hard you think she might put a hole in it! She would do fine living with other larger dogs or as an only dog. She would make a wonderful dog for almost any family.
