My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

A loveable and adventurous scruffy guy who enjoys navigating his way through nature.

Mike has a dark black coat with beautiful tones of chocolate in direct sunlight. He loves toys and tends to hog his favorites. If there are other pets in the house, it’s best that they each have their own set of toys to play with. Mike is social by nature and believes all humans and all dogs are BFFs. He does well with other dogs and submits to them if he is corrected for doing “too much.” In Mike’s defense, he is just being the life of the party!

Mike is currently learning house manners in his foster home and lives with dogs and cats. He would benefit from having a patient adopter who understands that good boys need training to become the best-of-boys. Mike is still learning this fine art and is very smart. We know he will thrive and flourish with structure and patience. Even though he is in a foster home, which is only temporary… He longs for a forever home with humans that will commit to loving him for all of his life.

If you are interested in meeting this handsome scruffy boy, please email foster@baytown.org to schedule your meet and greet.

Additional adoption info

Our adoption process consist of filling out an agreement document that specifies the adopter will have the adopted animal vaccinated for rabies and spayed/neutered as needed, within an appropriate time period. Currently the adoption fee is $50, but $40 of that comes back in the form of a voucher than can be used at local veterinarians for the rabies vaccination and/or spay/neuter procedure.
