Meet Madden, the adorable Chihuahua puppy with a heart as big as he is tiny! The name Madden means "small dog, which seemed perfect for a pint-sized pup like him.
At first glance, he may seem a tad timid about the big wide world but give him a little time and encouragement and watch him blossom into a silly, goofy ball of love. With gentle encouragement, Madden will show you just how brave he can be, tackling new adventures with a wagging tail. This tiny bundle of joy and puppy kisses thrives on snuggles and lap time, finding comfort and security in the arms of his "person. When Madden sees his favorite person, his little tail starts going so fast he could lift off, and he will roll over to get lots of belly rubs. Whether he's curling up beside you (or more likely ON you) for a cozy cuddle session or amusing you with his playful antics, Madden's affection knows no bounds. While he is absolutely fine being with other dogs, he hasn't shown much interest in being best friends with them. He plays with his sister, but with the other, larger dogs he's met, Madden will follow them around or lie down near them, but would much rather snuggle with his person. He would likely be friends with another smaller dog, but he might not be the best companion for dogs much larger/more active than he is. But as long as he has a lap to curl up on, Madden will be just fine.
Madden is still a baby with lots of puppy lessons he needs to learn, so he will need a family ready to spend time teaching him how to be the best pup he can be. While Madden would likely be fine in a variety of home situations, people with younger children will need to make sure that kids know how to be very gentle with a TINY puppy like him so he doesn't get dropped. Madden will probably be under 20 pounds fully grown and right now he is just a teeny little thing.
Madden is ready to start meeting prospective families, but will not be able to go to his new home until after May 3.
