What is Rehome?
If you see pets listed by a private owner, it means that they’re adoptable through Adopt a Pet’s Rehome program – the safe and reliable way to find a loving new home for your pet.
Chica is 14 years old but don't tell her, she still thinks she's a puppy most of the time. She loves basking in the sun or snuggling next to you on the couch. She loves going on walks but is happy running around the house or yard.
She is 75% Chihuahua 25% mix breed so she is not tiny, about 8 lbs.
She will do well in household with a couple people, ideally someone home a lot for her to follow around all day. She is crate trained and can tolerate 6-8 hours alone if needed.
Being an older lady, she only allows touching on her terms. But just sit on the couch or floor and she will soon be in your lap loving you. She has arthritis in her shoulders and hips so when you pick her up do it gingerly and I can show you how she likes it.
I am going to be traveling for an extended period and can not take her with me, which makes me sad, so I want her to have a really good companion. She doesn't mind mellow dogs but really hyper ones she doesn't have patience for.
