Sammy is a 5 year old, 37 lb Pug mix. She is a bit larger than a Pug, but we can't figure out what she is mixed with! What we do know for sure is that Sammy is a sweetheart of a dog! She is a laid-back and thrives on relaxation and companionship. She is incredibly affectionate and enjoys being held or petted. She loves to hop up on the couch so she can snuggle up to you while you are watching TV. Sammy gets along with other dogs, but she can easily be an only dog, as long as she gets lots of attention. She would do best in a home with no cats. She sleeps through the night in her crate, and is working very hard to be 100% potty trained. Sammy enjoys leisurely walks where she is given the opportunity to explore and sniff interesting scents along the way. She will not do well in a home where her people are gone for long periods of time. She has had puppies in the recent past, and she is overweight, so a nutritious diet is a must. Sammy is past her playful stage and has no interest in toys or chasing a ball, but she will make a loving and loyal companion for the right adopter. If you would like to meet Sammy, please submit your application, and one of our adoption counselors will contact you..

Additional adoption info
All potential adopters must fill out an application for the animal they want to adopt, which is available on our website. Humane Tomorrow does not do adoptions outside of the DFW Metroplex.
Our adoption fees are...
Cats:
$150 for most kittens and cats
Dogs:
$250-$300 for most puppies and dogs
The adoption fee helps to cover the costs of basic preventative care including spay or neuter, vaccines (including Rabies and virals), heartworm tests and preventative for dogs, FeLV/FIV tests for cats, in addition to extra medical care the animal may need, such as heartworm treatment, dental, or surgery. Often our adoption fees do not even cover costs for basic medical care the animals need, and are certainly cheaper than if all these procedures were covered by the owner.
Humane Tomorrow reserves the right to deny any application for any reason.
