My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Sapphire is a beautiful blue mixed breed (thus, the name). She's an older girl estimated to be around 8 years old due to some worn teeth and some issues she entered with that impacted her rear. She has had surgery and is recovering now and is ready for her furever home and family.

She is fully vaccinated, dewormed, spayed, and is heart worm positive. She began treatment for the heart worms in October and is seems to be doing well. She weighs around 47 lbs.

When Sapphire came in, she was unsure about humans. Over the time she has been with us, her trust level is increasing. She likes to be near humans and enjoys being talked to and petted. She is curious and likes to be close to you. She has undergone a long recovery and is doing much better. She is good on a leash and is dog selective.

Please consider giving this older pup a chance. She came in as a stray over two months ago and appears to have had a pretty tough life. She is ready to meet her person(s), so come on out and meet Sapphire. For more information, please feel free to call or stop by Montgomery County NC Animals Services.
