Kona came to use at the age of 9 months from a known breeder in Las Vegas who sells his dogs at $10,000. However, this breeder kept Kona in a kennel for 9 months without training her and had limit experience with the outside world. We felt the need to rescue her. She needs someone that can give her LOTS of attention and discipline. Kona has never been around children. Kona does best being around other trained large dogs. She will follow and do exactly what that dog does. When we first got Kona, we sent her to be trained by a professional for two weeks. They used a shock collar for training. When putting her on the shock collar she remember right away her commands. She is very scared of everything and does well with one person. she is very loyal. when others come into play she reverts to being scared and will protect that one person that is with her. she needs extra attention and time that I am unable to give with my work schedule. She is very loving and has trust issues.
