Gets Along With:    Other dogs! Ferry has lived with cats in a foster home and done well. We haven't seen her with kids but she can be tested

Currently Living at:   South Carolina shelter; needs a foster or forever home in the DC area to get her freedom ride up here!

Check out this video of Ferry:    https://youtu.be/U9eCq-xjcPg .

Ferry is Looking For:  Her forever home! This tiger-striped sweetie is eagerly looking forward to her new chapter. The one where she gets her own humans for long sniffy walks, romps in parks, and all the adventures her family can dream up. She hasn't seen nearly enough of the world yet and is looking forward to making new pup and people pals along the way. Exploring all the toys to see what she likes best, quality kibble, and a cushy dog bed are on her wish list as well.

She promises lots of adoring gazes and love and loyalty for all her days in exchange. What do you say? Is Ferry the one you can see by your side?

What My Foster Says About Me:    She is all around the BEST dog ever. She’s hasn't had any accidents, great with my male dog, great with my cats and she is even gentle with my pet rabbit. She is very energetic when given the opportunity to run around, but once she comes back inside she is the biggest couch potato. She walks great on the leash! She doesn’t pull you at all. She’s easy going and I’m sure someone else will fall in love with her as fast as I did!

Lucky Dog cannot guarantee any dog is housebroken.  All of our dogs are working on their crate training.

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

The adoption process begins when you submit an adoption application either online or at an adoption event. The individual responsible for the dog you are interested in adopting - a position we call the “adoption coordinator” - will then set up a time to discuss your application over the telephone. The adoption coordinator will check your vet reference to make sure all current and past pets were kept up-to-date with their shots and medical care. The adoption coordinator will also set up a home visit with one of our trained volunteers. That individual will come to your home to ensure that it is a safe environment, to confirm that everyone in the home is on board with adopting a dog, and to discuss any other questions you may have about dog adoption!

Go meet their pets

Our adoption events are held each weekend. A schedule of times and locations can be found at www.luckydoganimalrescue.org.
