My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Jordi!  He's a 65 lb, 22 month old Labrador Retriever mix looking for a new home.

He's sweet, intelligent, playful, energetic, and loving.  He loves his people, and adores children.  He had lived a neglected life outdoors, but since coming into our care, has proved to be the sweetest cuddle companion, and is looking for a family that can provide the love that he needs.

He has been neutered, microchipped, and is up-to-date on his vaccinations.

If you would like to be Jordi's forever family, please submit an application to adopt at the link provided.

More about this rescue

Located in Southern California, 1000 Orphans was formed as a 501c(3) organization to provide support to local and overseas organizations that are providing food, shelter, and medical care to abandoned and stray dogs. We also support the efforts of organizations that are focused on the task of effective and humane control of stray dog populations in Taiwan.
As part of these efforts, we find homes for some of these dogs that have been rescued from the streets of Taiwan so that they may finally have a family to call home, as well as to help in easing the overwhelming conditions at independent rescues there. We also help in homing local dogs, including addressing necessary medical needs, that have come to us either as stray or abandoned pets.
