Pawnee was a mother dog who was rescued in the fall of 2022 with her 2 pups on the side of the road. She and the pups were in poor health when rescued. One of her pups died, and we found a home for her other one. She and the pups were starving and full of mange. It was apparent that she had either been dumped or that she left a bad home. She was heartworm positive, and we put her through heartworm treatment. Despite her most unfortunate background, Pawnee was a happy dog with a lot of love to give! While with a foster, she slept in a crate and learned how to go in and out the doggie door. This 25-pound love bug is super sweet and plays well with other dogs. She loves people and children. She is one of the happiest dogs ever, and she loves to give. Pawnee is being cared for in Mississippi at this time but we do transport. We use the most animal-friendly transport on the road.
