This boy is healthy, smart, ready and eager to become a great companion for someone, He's very quick to learn, and he seems to be quite obedient for a male puppy. At the same time, he's also growing more confident with each passing day.
BASICS
Housetraining. He uses the puppy pee pads every time. He seems to be learning to potty outside.
Leash training. Yes. He went from totally refusing and attacking the leash first week, to nearly perfect on leash in just one week! He is also quite owner focused when I take him outside, so he will stays near me even without a leash.
CHARACTERISTICS
Affection. I would say medium. He's relatively attentive and enjoys being petted, rubbed, etc.
Toys. Overall, his interest in toys was low. He's much more interested in real life dogs, people, etc.
Activity. Perfect. Hes active on walks, appropriately attentive without being hyper at home.
Adjectives. Smart, eager, loyal, and athletic.
Favorite. Sounds strange, but he's really cute when he thinks he might have done something bad. He doesnt hide, or run way, or even try to look look way to the side (or at the wall). He lowers his head just slightly, looks you straight in the eyes, and gulps or fidgets llike hes nervous, but he still really trusts you and wants you to love him.
Physical. He is Entelbucher mix, I beleive. His markings are very attractive and I especially like the white triangular marking on the back of his neck.
Home. Ideally, a home with a yard and probably some level of activity to watch over. Probably a decent size house, rather than an apartment like mine. He seems ok with most other dogs, but I have no others do I dont know. Not sure about kids. Maybe not best with a small child.
Finally. I think Sammy really would stand out for someone who maybe wants a perfect, loyal, obedient, but not overly lovey dovey or overly playful. He seems like he might suit an owner looking for a dog to be a companion, but maybe also somewhat with a no-nonsense approach to watching over the family house.

Our mission is to provide the programs and services needed to eliminate the killing of at-risk animals due to lack of space, adopter or foster.
San Antonio Pets Alive! is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization. Due to alarming euthanasia rates, San Antonio Pets Alive! (SAPA!) was founded in 2012. SAPA! is unique—it is the only high paced, high-volume rescue in San Antonio, saving 6,000 at-risk cats and dogs annually.
Since its inception, SAPA! has saved more than 47,000 dogs and cats. SAPA! provides safety nets for the dogs and cats that fall through the cracks of all other lifesaving options and end up on the euthanasia lists, often with just hours to be saved. SAPA! promotes the availability of these dogs and cats to other rescues, adopters and fosters.
