My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

How Bodie arrived:
Bodie was brought in by his previous owner on 4/14/24.

At SDHS:
Bodie is vaccinated, microchipped and neutered. Bodie is now ready for his new home!

Why Bodie is the one for you:
Say HELLO to handsome Bodie! We know lots of great things about Bodie that will help him find the perfect home. Bodie should be the only pet in the home. We guarantee his big personality will take up a lot of space! It was noted that Bodie does not like to share food or toys and would really appreciate a home where he does not feel like he needs to be watchful. Bodie loves people and belly rubs, but is a very strong fellow that needs work on his leash walking skills. Bodie will thrive in a home with a large fenced yard where he can run, play and take a long nap uninterrupted. Perhaps you have that special place for Bodie? if so, please stop by the Escondido Campus to take this big strong handsome fella home!

More about this shelter

San Diego Humane Society, an open-admission shelter, is creating a more humane world by inspiring compassion and advancing the welfare of animals and people. Our lifesaving safety net has helped San Diego become the largest city in the U.S. to keep healthy and treatable shelter animals from being euthanized. We are a private, independent, nonprofit organization that is not affiliated with any other humane society or society for the prevention of cruelty to animals.

With campuses in El Cajon, Escondido, Oceanside, Ramona and San Diego, we provide animal services for 14 cities within San Diego County. We not only care for 50,000 animals in our communities but also share the expertise we have gained through our innovative programs with shelters nationwide so they can save more lives in their communities.

While our influence is expanding nationally, our top priority is meeting the needs of San Diego. We provide exceptional care for all animals through world-class veterinary medicine, shelter and most of all: love.
