Rueben is such a happy boy! Rueben proved defines what a good boy is - he is housetrained, crate trained, and well mannered, he gets along well with other dogs, and he really loves to play with friendly dogs. He has 4 foster siblings and he loves them all and they love to play with him. Ruebens favorite thing though is snuggling with a human. He is happiest if he can snuggle up and be loved by his human. Rueben is super friendly to everyone. He is learning to loose leash walk. Rueben is wondering why nobody has been interested in him as he is such a good boy - he really wants to have a family to call his own! Meet the dog/puppy at weekly adoption events (every Saturday) Meet cat/kitten at area locations including our Kitty Korner (1649 Main St)

Interview

Interview to see if the pet will be a good fit into the home.

Approve Application

The application is completed and approved.

Sign Adoption Contract

Take the Pet Home

Meet the pet. A short interview will be conducted. Fill out an adoption application and contract and you can take your new companion home. We are always here to support you after the adoption with any questions or concerns.

Go meet their pets

We hold adoption events every Saturday from 10 to 1 at the Grand Junction Petco, PetSmart or Chow Down for dogs and puppies. Cats and kittens can be seen by appointment at Grand Rivers Humane Kitty Korner (1649 Main St, Grand Junction 970.257.0070) or anytime at Petco, PetSmart and J&M Aquatics. All of our adoptable pets come from Mesa County Animal Services.
