My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

🌟 Meet Henry: Our Three-Legged Wonder Pup! 🌟
Introducing Henry, a delightful 13-week-old Terrier/Chihuahua mix who might just be the cutest tri-pawed puppy you'll ever lay eyes on! Despite being born without one of his back legs, Henry doesn't know the word "slow." He zooms around with the zest of any four-legged friend, living his puppy life to the fullest.
Henry is more than just his adorable looks. He’s a tiny powerhouse of joy, weighing in at 6 lbs, and we expect he'll stay under 20 lbs when fully grown. This special boy was also born with mild hypospadias, a cosmetic condition of his genitals that doesn’t affect his health or happiness one bit.
Our little champ is fantastic with other dogs and cats, making him a great addition to a multi-pet household. Given his petite size and spirited nature, we recommend a home with children ages 10+ or adults only, to ensure he gets the gentle handling and love he deserves.
Henry is currently honing his skills in potty and crate training. With consistent routines and positive reinforcement, he's making great strides every day. True to his spunky breed mix, he’s not only playful and happy but also incredibly smart and eager to please.
Are you the special someone who can give Henry the loving forever home he needs? He promises endless cuddles, playful antics, and unconditional love.
If your heart has a Henry-shaped hole in it, please visit our website www.pprct.org and fill out an adoption application. Henry can’t wait to hop into your life and make it even more wonderful! 🐾💖

Additional adoption info

Project Precious has an ever changing group of adoptable dogs and cats, puppies and kittens, please check in frequently to see if your forever friend is waiting for you!

If you are interested in adopting a Project Precious pet, please email ProjectPreciousRescue@gmail.com OR ProjectPreciousRescue2@gmail.com for an adoption application. After receiving your filled out application, we will screen your information and determine if we have a pet that is a good fit for you. There will then be a introduction and home visit, and if all goes well, an adoption contract and fee. When submitting an application, please bear in mind that we do this on our own time in addition to working paying jobs, so it may take a couple of days to get a response. Our adoption fees vary depending on age and type of animal (dog or cat).

More about this rescue

Project Precious Rescue, Inc. is a 501(c)3 registered non-profit organization dedicated to animal rescue.

We are a small scale rescue based in Fairfield County, Connecticut. Our animals are placed in carefully screened foster homes while they are waiting to find their forever homes - we do not have a facility/shelter.

The mission of PPR is to rescue adoptable animals who may otherwise face homelessness or death, and find them loving forever homes. Our goal is to provide the best veterinary care, and we strive to place our animals in carefully screened homes that best match their needs. We rely solely on donations, and do not profit from our work. We rescue on our terms - dogs and cats, and do not discriminate against age/breed. PPR believes every animal deserves a second chance!
