Meet our sweet, smart girl named Temper Lou in need of a forever home!

This adorable 11-month-old, 55-pound female is a delightful mix of Husky and Pitbull, and she's ready to steal your heart! She's affectionate, intelligent, and oh-so-ready to find her perfect match.

Here's what you need to know about Temper Lou:

Personality: Smart, eager to please, and loves being around people.

Training: Leash trained and knows commands like "sit", "go/get", "down", "chill", "hush", and "shake". She's a quick learner!

Habits: She's great at signaling her needs, whether it's by barking at the door or using a bell.

Living Situation: She's comfortable spending both days and nights indoors, and she behaves well when left alone.

Socialization: She's been around children under 11 and has shown nothing but happiness and excitement. She's also been socialized with other dogs, though she may prefer to be the alpha.

We require all adopters to complete an application and pay an adoption fee. Adoption fees vary, but are usually $160 to $185. We may do a vet reference check and/or home visit.

It Takes A Village Rescue, Inc. is a non-kill 501(c)(3) rescue dedicated to doing what it takes to find loving homes for stray, abandoned, and surrendered animals, and to keep these animals safe and free from further suffering. Our mission is "To work as one in helping homeless animals irrespective of breed, location or circumstance." By working with committed volunteers, foster homes, veterinarians and partner rescues or shelters, we are able to rescue countless animals every year and provide them with loving temporary care as we work to find them well-matched forever homes. Although we do not discriminate based on breed, size or color, we have a particular interest in bully breeds, special medical needs, senior dogs, black dogs and other hard-to-place animals.
