My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Bert is a young beagle mix that is a cool dude. He enjoys walks in the woods and will be happy to take scratched behind those adorable floppy ears. Bert is just the right size to adventure with and we can only assume how happy that would make him.
Bert is neutered, microchipped, vaccinated and heartworm negative.

More about this shelter

The Shelby County Animal Shelter is a County office designed to serve the residents of Shelby County. They answer calls for stray dogs, complaints of dogs running at large, animal kills by dogs and coyotes, pick up stray dogs, answer humane complaints and reports of loose dogs.

The SCAS is open to people looking for a pet, looking for a missing pet, and those who just want to look at the animals. They accept dogs and cats from owners as well as strays, however a fee may be involved. They offer dogs, puppies, cats and kittens for adoption.
