Their adoption process

1.

Submit Application

be sure to inform your references that we will be calling and cant' move forward until we get responses from them. including your vet

2.

Interview

if all information provided by the references look good we will move onto a home check

3.

Home Check

you may be asked to send video of the inside of your home and yard where the dog will be residing

4.

Approve Application

if all references and home check look good we will approve the application and inform you that it has been approved.

5.

Meet the Pet

after the application process has been complete we will set up a time to meet your desired dog

6.

Pay Fee

if the dog of your choice is a good fit for your home, then we require that the fee is paid to make the adoption official

7.

Take the Pet Home

The medical records will either be given to you in person, mailed or emailed to you.

Additional adoption info

All dogs over the age of 6 months old are adopted on a 2 week trial to make sure that the dog is a great fit in your home. if at anytime the applicant doesn't feel the fit is right- you must reach out to the rescue to discuss.

The Hope Highway brings dogs to Wisconsin from the south, mainly Louisiana, Mississippi, Tennessee and Texas. We also try to help rehoming local dogs for families in need.
