My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

King is a stunning 45 lb 19 mo white fluffy dog who looks like an Eskimo dog mixed with husky. He is good with dogs and respectful older children. House and leash trained! King enjoys car rides and company to the home - more attention for him! He knows sit, lay down, and paw command.

King is in the teenage phase and will try to get his way. Of course. Just like teenage humans, consistency, love, patience, and leadership will set this boy up for success. He needs a calm, confident owner that will let him know expectations and rules.

King is high energy and would thrive under a consistent exercise schedule. He would make a wonderful hiking partner. A fenced yard where he can play and run would be ideal.

King likes to talk to his people so apartments with shared walls are not a good fit for this good boy.

If interested this gorgeous boy, apply at www.caninecollective.org.

Our adoption process takes several steps and cannot be completed in one day. All of our volunteers work full time and assist the rescue in their spare time. Please allow 2-3 business days for a response.

* Applicants must be willing to make a ten plus year commitment to their new family member.

* Applicants must commit to daily exercise, walks, trips to the dog park or play in the back yard. A well exercised dog is a happy well behaved dog!

* Applicants living in a rental property must provide proof of pet policy from landlord.

* Applicants must provide a veterinarian reference and if there are existing dogs in the household. All pets must be spayed/neutered and current on all shots and heartworm medication.

*Please allow at least a 7-14 day adjustment period for your new dog. Rescue dogs go thru a lot of changes and need a few days to get used to their new surroundings and adjust. Adopting a dog should be a serious commitment, so please be willing to work out the kinks. Our dogs aren't perfect but with proper training and guidance they make awesome, loving pets.

*Our adoption fees vary based on the age and medical needs of the dogs.
