Maya is a very sweet Pit mix that loves to cuddle with her humans. She will find a way to be near you, snuggle you or just rest her head upon you. She has a soft snore and gets the zoomies with an e-brake vibe that is hilarious! Maya is a little over 1 years old and weighs in at 56 lbs.
She is playful, but would do best in a home with a male dog or no other dog. Maya loves her chew toys and will confiscate a shoe if it is left behind. She does not need to be crated while you are gone, but will reluctantly go in one if need be. Maya is house trained, non-destructive, learning her leash manners and easily trainable with a beeper.
Maya's adoption fee is $300 and includes spay, microchip, and current vaccinations.

A meet and greet will be arranged so that your whole family can meet your new pet before adopting him/her. We want to make sure it is a good fit since it is a commitment for the animal’s lifetime.

SPOT was created to fill the need to save animals who “fall through the cracks” in our sheltering system. Local shelters are overwhelmed—they receive so many strays and owner turn-ins that they run out of space and have to kill thousands of animals each year. The majority of these animals are healthy and simply need to be placed into a home. Others are medical cases which require some work, but do not have life-threatening diseases or injuries. And a few have some moderate behavior issues; we work with specialists to correct these behaviors before finding them their forever home. The bottom line is SPOT can save these lives.
