Meet Dice, our 2 year old Akita/ Husky mix who came to our shelter as a stray. No owners have come forward, so he is now available for adoption! He is already a play group super star and loves running around the play yards. Dice is pretty good on leash, but may pull a little when he sees squirrels so would benefit with further training upon leaving the shelter. Dice would do best in an active household, with young teens 13 and up.

The Town of Hempstead Animal Shelter boasts one of the highest adoption rates in the nation. Come tour the Animal Shelter, meet a dog or cat, and bring the love of a pet into your home. All adopted pets will be spayed or neutered, will receive required inoculations and will be microchipped. These are included in adoption fees.
