My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Adoption fee: $650, plus taxes
Location: Foster Home

Daffy came to us with his 10 siblings from Atlanta Georgia. It was a big trip for Daffy but now that he is settled into his foster home, we have realized what a perfect family dog he is! Daffy is described as an amazing blend of playful and snuggly. We think he would be a great addition to a growing family. During the day he wants to play with toys, run around a backyard and soak up the sunshine. At night, the time is right for some super puppy snuggles, kisses, and lots of love from this sweet boy. Wouldn't it be so fun to see him play in the snow for the first time in his life?

Daffy is about three months old, he is neutered, microchipped, and up to date on all of his vaccinations.

If you are interested in making Daffy a part of your family, please submit an application on Carver Scott Humane Society's website.

Go meet their pets

While we are a foster-based animal rescue and all of our dogs are in foster care, we do have a cat adoption space at our new Adoption & Wellness Center in Chaska. We also partner with local retail locations like PetSmart Richfield and Chuck & Don's Chanhassen to feature adoptable cats at their stores.

More about this rescue

Carver-Scott Humane Society was founded in 1989 with the mission of connecting animals in need with people who care. Our vision is a world where every animal is safe, cared for, and loved.

In 2017, we introduced a new, innovative rescue philosophy based on our Four Pillars: TNR, Serve Where You Save, FurKeeps, and Adopters Welcome. As of 2018, we adopt over 500 dogs and cats into the community every year, with a nationally reported Live Release Rate of 97%. We serve over 1,000 Minnesota pets and their families annually through our surrender prevention program, FurKeeps, aiming to keep pets out of the shelter system in the first place.

CSHS focuses on serving and saving Minnesota pets, and we do not transport animals in from out of state. We do our best to prevent surrender, which creates capacity for us to transfer most of our animals from high-volume impounds and shelters throughout the state. For the past three years, we have transferred more animals from Minneapolis Animal Care & Control than any other animal welfare organization.
