Heya! I'm "Ali (Mohammed Ali)! They think I am around 2 years old. I'm ready to be adopted and excited to find my forever home. My life started out traumatic. I was found by the rescue at a shelter with several bites and injuries, and also super hungry and very thin because I wasn't fed regularly. How I got that way, no one knows. Despite my past, I am super happy and loving. I love treats and PEOPLE...people are my favorite! I would love a comfy couch to hang out on and snuggle, though I do like to spend time in my crate because it is my safe space. I also love to give and get kisses and I'm always up for a good belly rub. I have been known to embrace standing still so I can be brushed every day as well. I also really really love to play with toys. Loud noises and sudden movements aren't my favorite and tend to scare me. I'm also very cautious when meeting new dogs. I get along with people and some dogs, but I need to feel safe around them. I've never met cats though. So I can't tell you if I like them or not. I would love a quiet home that would give me lots of love. I enjoy taking walks around the yard and do well on a leash. I am looking for someone who can be patient with me while I learn how to be dog. I would prefer to be with a family who will walk me, love me, and always be with me. I am still young, so I need someone who is dedicated to training and helping me learn manners. I am still learning not to jump up, so a home with small children may not be best for me. While they don't think I'm a puppy, I seem to act like one sometimes, as I tend to gnaw on the hands and feel of those I love. I always sometimes chew on things that aren't mine, if left out unsupervised. I get along with everyone I've met so far! My ideal home would have a fenced yard for me to hang out in. I'm crate trained and mostly housebroken, but if you don't pay attention to my cues, I might have a small accident now and then. I would do best with a family who does not spend a lot of time away from home, as I have been known to have a little anxiety if I am left alone for long periods. I also enjoy my outside time much better if my family always goes outside with me. When I come in from outside, I have a lot of energy! I will run into the house and jump up on my family to show them how much I love them. People are the best!
