My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Ahoy mateys, I’m Treasure! My rescuer - who is also my foster mom! - found me at a feral cat colony. I was so hungry, but the other cats would not allow me to eat with them! My foster mom baited a trap with baked chicken and I ran right in! Well shiver me timbers, I thought it was the galley!

Once I was safe at my foster mom’s house, she realized I was a friendly boy! I certainly was an unexpected surprise, like she found a hidden Treasure! So that’s how I got my name! I was obviously someone’s cat at some point but sadly ended up on the streets. I was thin but healthy thankfully. I get along great with my foster siblings & if one is grumpy towards me, I simply walk away. I adore playing with springs and carrying them all around the house! My foster mom thinks it’s the cutest thing! I also love my tall cat tree and playing with the fishing pole! Oh, and I LOVE cardboard scratchers!

I am not a picky eater; I eat both wet & dry food. I adore eating canned Tiki Cat Tuna & Crab Surimi, it’s delicious! I enjoy laying on my foster parents’ laps for cat naps while they watch television. I follow my foster mom all around the house. I can be a bit of a rule breaker as I will jump onto the counter tops. It’s mostly because I want attention. I am as playful as a kitten at times! I love to look outside from my window shelf or a glass door. I have attempted to dash out of the door to follow my people, so it would be a good idea for me to wear a collar with a name tag all the time, maybe even a cat tracker. Because I’m a total sneak, you’ll also need to double check the washer, dryer and cabinets before closing! I’m a crafty fellow!

Much to my foster parents’ surprise, I am timid when strangers come to visit. I am just fine with the people who visit regularly. I will need to be confined to a small space during the adjustment phase so please allow me time to get comfy with you first before having run of the house. I will need a somewhat quiet house, one that does not have a lot of guests visiting, especially during my adjustment period. I promise once I am comfortable you will see how affectionate and playful I am!

If you think I may be the new Pirate of your ship, please come meet me! I'm waiting to meet you at PetSmart, 4421 Virginia Beach Blvd in VB!
