Here's what the humans have to say about me:
**Pending Transport Scheduling to Coming Back HomeRescue**
Specky has been lucky in one way but not many others. He's been at the North Augusta Pound Dogs - SC since the middle of March and still sits at those kennels without interest or much support to help get him out. We've had him on our Petfinder with no interest. Despite that, his euthanization has been delayed due to the shelter not being overly crowded just yet but it only takes a day to reach that with their lack of kennels and he's already past his 1 month mark. Specky and one other (Sadie) would be the first to go. This IS urgent.
We have reached out to our friend Toni Maria to let her know if some of our adoptions go through, he can get a golden ticket out of there. That being said, if adoptions don't go through, he has to sit there to wait for the unknown. Please tag rescues who may be interested. We will assist with transport.
Coming Back Home Rescue is committed to Specky as soon as space opens up and will be brought to Ohio to escape euthanization.
Foster or Foster to Adopt:
Specky is 2-3 Years Old
Dog Friendly
Shy, but Warms Up
He has big googly eyes because he has the powers of the universe behind them. An all-knowing guru of zen and love. Okay, maybe not exactly that but he's a very sweet boy. He makes silly faces, and makes you wonder, "What goes through his mind?" You can watch Dennis Briatico read him a story with Specky in his lap via FONAA - Friends of North Augusta Animals on Facebook.
Up to date on Vaccines.
We'll schedule his neuter or adopter can.
About 30-40 Pounds.
Cannot cat test at this time.
Out of State Adoptions Available

Additional adoption info
We always start off with the application reviewing them at a first come, first serve basis. We look for the best possible compatibility and may ask questions to help to determine if you would be a great possible match. Next, we schedule something known as a "Happy Visit" where you can meet your potential new family member. We usually do this at your property which also covers the brief home visit. However, we also have adoption events or can meet in neutral locations for some animals. Afterwards, you sign an adoption contract and pay for their adoption fee.
We check in on a 3-3-3 basis to make sure everything is going well between your new pet while providing resources to help make transitioning smoother.
