Meet Skittles!
Skittles can at first be a bit shy, but if you give her some space and toss her a few treats, she'll be your best friend in no time. She's a bouncy little bean and she loves nothing more than sprinting around the yard to get all the zoomies out. Skittles loves play bowing and tug and if you're not careful she just might steal the treats from your pocket. Skittles has been through a lot during her short life - a hoarding case and then months in the shelter system - so she will need someone who goes slow with her and gives her time to feel comfortable. She does well with dogs and has an unknown history with cats.
**if you are interested in Skittles, please complete an adopter's profile at parl.org and come in during our open hours (Wednesday-Sunday, 12-4)**

The first step in our adoption process is to submit an adopter profile through our website. We then encourage you to visit PARL at 34 Elbow Street and get to know the animals we have available. You do not need an appointment, and we invite you to visit us often. PARL’s goal is to assist you in finding your best match for a lifelong companion.
When you arrive, you’ll sign PARL’s visitor log, and staff will direct you to PARL’s cat rooms, small animal spaces, or dog kennels (depending on your preference.) We encourage you to spend time outside with the dogs, or petting our cats and small animals. Please ask questions -- that's why we're here.
If you don't find what you are looking for the first time, please come see us again! Chances are that we will have some new furry friends available for adoption, and one of them might be purr-fect for you!
