Introducing Mr. Wonderful - Ambrose! This charming 3-year-old boxer mix has overcome adversity, bouncing back from a broken leg in January and now eagerly awaiting his forever home. Ambrose is a true gentleman, crate-trained, and gentle when taking treats or toys. He adores the company of other dogs and is always up for a long walk or simply lounging at your feet. With a preference for sunny spots, a yard with a fence would be ideal for him to bask in the sunlight. Weighing in at 40 pounds, Ambrose is the perfect catch - reel him in now and make him a cherished part of your family!

PLEASE NOTE: All your current pets must be spayed/neutered, vaccinated and on heartworm prevention to adopt from Polka Dogz. We only adopt in Florida. All adoption fees go to help all the dogs in the rescue, some of which require extensive medical care. Thank you for caring for the greater good. FIRST step is to fill out a pre adoption application (www.polkadogz.org). We check vet references, personal references and do home visits before adopting any pet. We also help match the right pet to the right home. All current pets in household must be spayed/neutered and on heartworm prevention (very important)
Adoption fees help us support all the dogs in our rescue, some of which cost thousands in medical bills. Thank you for caring about the greater good!

More about this rescue

We strive to educate the public on responsible pet ownership. We rescue many dogs with heartworms, injuries nad those who have been victims of severe neglect and/or abuse. Maverick is a perfect example. He is paralyzed and we work daily with him to hopefully help him walk again.
