Bo was rescued from Tijuana through Second Chance Dog Rescue on May 20, 2021, and has been with us ever since. He's about 30 pounds, micro-chipped, healthy, neutered, house and leash trained, and knows simple commands (sit, stay, down, etc.). He has never been destructive or chewed up things around the house, but he also doesn't love being touched or direct eye contact.
Despite multiple group dog training classes, one-on-one work with a behaviorist, and consulting with our vet, Bo would be better served with someone who is more capable of managing his behavioral needs. Bo will bark aggressively at other dogs/people and will snap at anyone close during these moments, including us and our children. We currently use a mesh muzzle, prong collar, and training collar on our walks. Bo takes Fluoxetine daily, with some improvement. He also has to take Trazodone and Gabapentin prior to vet visits.
Bo will thrive with someone patient, loving, and able to give him the support he needs.
