Gracie is a sweet but independent girl. I really hoped she would bond with me and be a loving companion as I retired. However, this never happened. She was very independent from the start and made it clear to me that she would only accept affection on her own terms. While I've loved her unconditionally since I adopted her at 10 weeks ; I'm 65 years old and she deserves a parent who works and give her the space she needs and the affection she wants; when she wants it.
