What is Rehome?
If you see pets listed by a private owner, it means that they’re adoptable through Adopt a Pet’s Rehome program – the safe and reliable way to find a loving new home for your pet.
Misty is a sweet gentle mixed black dog with white markings, 58 lb 5yo who looks like a small lab. We are relocating to a senior living housing and cannot take her with us. She is shy and submissive. Her job is as an alert dog not a guard dog. Shen notifies you about noises, anyone in your yard or porch. Once she is reassured, she responds well. She does not growl or bare her teeth. She has never bitten anyone or threatened them. She is very attached to my husband and follows him everywhere. She sleeps at night on her bed on the floor next to my husband. She would enjoy walks but unfortunately we cannot walk her due to our disabilities. She lives with another dog and 3 cats without any problem. A fenced yard would work well for her or a lot of land not near any busy roads. She would need to acclimate before letting her out on her own.
