My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Mama Mia and her six babies: Princess, Dusty, Chickpea, Leenie, Tux and Little Dipper. These cats came to Murci's Mission when they were dumped on a farm and surrendered to us to help them have a better life!

They were having loose stools when they first came to foster care, so they went to the vet where they tested positive for panleukopenia. They did remarkably well and remained energetic, happy and playful. Due to being panleukopenia survivors, they will need to be housed separate from other cats for 4 additional weeks while they conclude their viral shedding period.

They would do great in a home with dogs, cats or kids as they are all very friendly and loving. They provide lots of entertainment and snuggles.

They will be spayed/neutered on April 23rd and could go to their homes after their surgeries. The adoption fee is $100 for a kitten, or the same price to adopt a pair. Mama Mia's adoption fee is $50. They are dewormed, up to date on vaccines and microchipped. They have excellent litter box manners!

More about this rescue

From the day we could talk we told our pets more than we ever told our parents. We took the long route to see the kitty in the window down the street. We stopped even when we were late to pet the dog. We grew up and we saw what the world does to those who can't defend themselves. We are here to change that.

Ethical rescue, including fully vetting every animal and carefully placing them all into homes matched to their physical and mental needs is what we do.

Respecting all life, both animal and human, while retaining an underlying goal of keeping animals in their homes. and fostering a sense of community between local shelters and rescues is how we do it.
