Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Lucie is about 1 year old and weighs 42 pounds. We think she must be part greyhound with her long snout and sleek body! She is loving and energetic with other dogs. She just really wants to play with them. She is fine with cats too. She is a medium energy level. She can run for a while, but will happily sleep with you all day. She is great with meeting new people and loves any social interaction. She is an outgoing girl. She is good on leash, great in the car, and working on her house and crate training. With a schedule, she does great. She is also learning “sit.” She loves to nap in a pile of blankets or cuddle up with you. She is very attached to her people and loves to just be with you. Our adoption process starts with the applicant filling out an adoption application for the pet they are interested in. When they have completed and submitted the application, the screening process is started, which consists of a vet check, phone interview and home visit. Once all the steps are completed, we determine, by our findings, if they are approved, and if so, then they are allowed to adopt from our organization. The final step is they must complete the adoption contract, along with the donation for the animal, which goes into our medical fund to defray their medical costs. All of our animals are spayed and neutered, up to date on all their shots, including rabies, they are parasite free and on heartworm preventative.

More about this rescue

We are the Burlington County Animal Alliance (BCAA)located in Central New Jersey. We are a non-profit organization 501(3)(c), all volunteer rescue that saves animals from our local shelter and surrounding areas of New Jersey that are in danger of being euthanized. We take them into our program, get them the necessary medical care they need and adopt them back out to loving forever homes. We have 60 volunteers, many that open their homes to foster the homeless animals, we do fundraisers to raise money so we can continue to save the dogs and cats in need. We run strictly on donations from our adoptions and people who support our work.BCAA adopts to families in New Jersey, parts of Southeastern Pennsylvania and parts of New York.
