My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Winston, a senior declawed feline, found himself unexpectedly abandoned at a busy shelter in his golden years. Despite this upheaval, his endearing personality caught the attention of the shelter staff, who enlisted Mission for Paws to secure him a comfortable placement.

Winston has adjusted amazingly well in his foster home. He is a great housemate and gets along splendidly with the other cats in his foster home. He is perfectly predictable, pleasant and easy going. This calm, confident cat is curious and outgoing and doesn’t know a stranger. Delighting in human companionship this social kitty revels in a good chin scratching and pampering session. Winston will let you know how pleased he is with a robust purr and some expert kitty biscuit making. Bonus is that he is front paw declawed so no destruction to your furniture or your skin with those biscuit making sessions. Forget those crazy kitten times this boy just wants to relax and chill with his human companions. Easy going Winston is content spending his days checking out the activity from a sunny window or relaxing in a sunbeam. Winston offers a low-maintenance companionship, perfect for a single person, remote worker or retiree.

Although we do not know his exact age since he is a rescue, we suspect he is 12 years or older. Senior indoor kitties can live well into their teens and if well cared for some senior cats can live well into their second decade of life. It is our wish that Winston can wind down with someone who appreciates a mature cat and is willing to share the next chapter with him and make it a forever home.

Adoption of Winston is fee-free, as the main goal is to secure him a loving forever home. All cats/kittens are spay/neutered, fully vaccinated, treated for any parasites, tested for Feline Leukemia and FiV and receive a microchip with a lifetime of free registration.
