My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Like a pair of Levi’s, he looks good on everyone and is a real good fit. He is long-legged and modelesque, adoring and will absolutely stick by your side. This sweet boy was adopted as a puppy and lived a few wonderful years as a family dog. But to no-fault of his own, his families life changed and we get to help him find another loving home and hearts to call his own.

Levi is almost three years old, weighs 86 lbs and we believe he is a German Shepherd/ Lab mix but with rescue, we can never be completely sure about breed and age. We do promise you this boy is loyal, loving, and will be your #1 fan.

Thanks to the fact that he has been a family man before, Levi is house trained, crate trained, great on leash, and has great house manners. We introduced Levi to multiple dogs, a variety of sizes and energy levels, and he was a good boy! He is a happy boy who invites play and respects other dogs boundaries and playstyles. My favorite thing about watching him play is just how bouncy he is! Those long legs give him a gazelle like way when he is playing and he pulls the funnest move when he hops right over someone while they play, I’m convinced dogs think he is a magician the way the look around for him after he high jumps. Take a look at him in action and come back to learn more about the sweet boy.

On top of being friendly and welcoming to people and great with other dogs, he was also incredibly respectful when he met our house cat Tom. He showed interest but backed away when Tom gave a vocal boundary and never gave chase or sought Tom out once he went to his beloved cat tower. From my understanding Levi has previously lived with cats and we would say he is cat tolerant and could easily live in a home with cats.

Levi would love a home with a yard, those long legs want room to explore and play. For house-mates, he will fit right in with any variety of pets, kids, etc. Levi has a wonderful understanding of his body and keeps his movements around people very calm despite how his play style looks. This family man is great with kids and will make a wonderful friend and playmate for any young child. Thanks to his wonderful leash manners, Levi will be a wonderful walking buddy or hiking companion. With you at the end of his leash he will be your confident companion and log the miles with a smile.

If you are looking for a wonderful dog, pre-loaded with the complete starter pack of good-boy qualities, Levi is your man! If you want our team to explore Levi’s nature in any other environments or circumstances, let us know, we can absolutely make it happen! Your adoption fee is considered a donation towards actual costs. Why adopt from Three Little Pitties? The stray and animal overpopulation in the Greater Houston area is the highest in the nation. Statistics show that there are over 1 million homeless animals in this region alone. Three Little Pitties Rescue is a nonprofit dog and cat rescue that partners with the community to make a difference. Our mission is to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter services, and saving all breeds of dogs and cats from the streets or animal shelters that oftentimes have no other option but to euthanize animals for space. This dog you’ve found online is lucky to be in our program, and even luckier to have you notice it! Three Little Pitties wants to set you and your new pet up for success! We know our dogs and we work hard to prepare them socially for adoption. We are a network of dedicated people who are heavily invested in seeing our animals thrive. From the moment they are accepted into our program, our Intake, Behavior & Medical teams prepare them for adoption by properly vetting, behaviorally assessing, and providing customized plans depending on the dog’s needs. We seek to adopt to families who understand that these are rescue dogs and will require continued training efforts, but will be well on their way to being the best dogs that they can be! It doesn’t stop there! Our adopters also receive these special perks: • 30 day trial of pet insurance with Trupanion (must register within 24 hours of first vet appt.) • A free private online dog training session with GoodPup plus low pricing for future sessions (approx $25 weekly for an 8 week course of one session per week) • One free bonus toy in every BarkBox when signing up for their Super Chewer subscription plan • 70% off of your first order of Fetch, a PNW based, organic fresh dog food loaf meal subscription plan • Coupons for a fun visit to Petco • Access to our exclusive FB Adopters page, where you can network for play dates, resources, and connect with other adopters that share their passion for their adopted pup! We celebrated our 5 year anniversary this year! Through the combined efforts of all of our hardworking staff and volunteers, we have placed over 12,000 very lucky dogs and cats into amazing homes! By adopting from us, you save TWO lives! The pet you adopt, and you create an opportunity for another animal to be saved in that spot. Together, we can be heroes. Follow our rescue journey through the links below! https://www.threelittlepittiesrescue.org/ https://www.facebook.com/threelittlepittiesrescue https://www.instagram.com/threelittlepittiesrescue *Due to the rising cost of fuel and transportation expenses, there will be an additional $62 surcharge for transport.
