My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

It would be hard to find a cuter puppy than our sweet Mary.  At two months of age she only weighed 3 pounds 7 ounces.  She had a pretty rough start.  Her pregnant mom was dropped off at a house in the country and gave birth one week later.  Mary is a special needs dog because she needs someone that can be with her most of the time.  She just Loves to be held.  Her vet thinks she has some neuroligic issues.  Sometimes she will keep walking in circles over and over.  If you pick her up and hold her she will usually calm down.  She is great around other pets but we don't think a home with young children would be best for her.  If you really want some Puppy Love, please inquire about Mary!

More about this rescue

Jan's Animal Rescue was founded by Jan Grafton to help dogs go from life-threatening situations to loving homes.

Jan volunteered at the local animal shelter for 12 years. Then in 2012 she started a foster-based animal rescue.

In 2018 she started Jan’s Animal Rescue to help dogs. She has rescued and found homes for those that have been sick, injured, abused and homeless, including animals that were scheduled to be euthanized.

Jan works with local veterinarians to assure that the dogs get the medical attention they need.

She has a network of volunteers who work tirelessly to foster and care for the pets until a home can be found.
