My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Peggy Sue

Female, Schnauzer/Terrier Mix, Age 6 months (10/15/23), Weight 19.2

Meet Peggy Sue, a sweet and loving puppy who instantly brightens every room with her playfulness. She's not just smart; she's a quick study, mastering house manners with ease and showing a keen interest in the whirl of colors and sounds on the screen while watching TV with her humans during family. Peggy Sue has a fondness for squeaky toys and plushies, often spotted prancing around with them or engaging in joyful tugs.

Though initially a little reserved with new faces, Peggy Sue soon opens up, sharing her affectionate and fun-loving personality. She's house-trained, comfortably sleeps in her crate, and adores cuddle time. She plays wonderfully with other dogs and shows a gentle patience with children, making her the perfect addition to any loving family.

If you're on the lookout for a puppy who combines intelligence with an adorable personality, Peggy Sue could be the perfect match. She's ready to bring love, laughter, and a dash of curiosity into her forever home.

More about this rescue

The Canine Compassion Fund, Inc. (CCF) is a 501(c)3 non-profit corporation based in Tuscaloosa, Alabama.  The CCF was established to help meet some of the specific needs resulting from canine overpopulation.  After extensive research several distinct areas were identified as needing immediate as well as long term attention and the following mission statement was developed -

The mission of the Canine Compassion Fund, Inc. is to provide lifetime care and enrichment for surrendered or abandoned senior canines in a specialized facility and through a "forever foster" program; to help reduce the population of homeless canines through adoption and spay neuter programs; and to provide responsible pet ownership education to the public.
