Here's what the humans have to say about me:
We took over Max’s care when his owners brought him into the vet office stating he was hit by a car and they couldn’t afford his care. We brought him to a specialty clinic and it was found that he was not hit by a car, but had blunt force trauma to his head. Max received medical attention for over a week, CT scans, x-rays and pain medications. We also learned he lived outside for most of his life, so when we picked him up from the hospital we have been focusing on getting him use to living indoors. He is good in his crate, he loves to play ball and loves his Kong toy. He does not seem to like other dogs, we have not had him around kids or cats. He could benefit from training, and we know he can jump a 4 foot fence. Max seems to be a really nice dog for someone who only wants one dog in the home. If interested in learning more about Max, you can fill out an application on our website at www.skylarsscholarships.org (the application is listed under the “more” tab)

They need to email us to ask for an application. We do not have it on our website as we don’t adopt out that many dogs per year.

We like to interview first to see if they are a good candidate for that specific dog, then have them fill out an application and then a home visit prior to meeting the dog
