Sweet Xochitl (sow-cheel) is a little over 1 year old and weighs 44 lbs. A cheerful girl, Xochitl is extremely sweet and frequently seeks affection to remind you that she loves you so much! She is dog-friendly with proper introductions and previously lived with children. She was bought by her original family in Mexico, so her breed is quite rare up here in the Northeast. Unfortunately, that family also abandoned her, because of her allergies, at an overcrowded city shelter. After a long stressful stay, poor Xochitl found herself a little worse for wear and awaiting euthanasia. Luckily, a wonderful foster family took her in just in time. Her name means “flower” in the Nahuatl language and it really can’t be any more fitting as this girl blossoms with life in her loving foster home. Xochitl is full of life and happiness, she loves to play and is always ready for a game of fetch! She is an active girl with a higher energy level but is also very smart and quickly learns what you want her to. Xochitl is gorgeous and her adorable one-ear flop makes her even more special.
