Are you looking for a dog that could be mistaken for a mini horse?! Peter is your guy! Peter is a golden retriever/Great Pyrenees mix! He’s currently 80 lbs(needs to gain a couple pounds still!), 2 years old, and has legs for days. This tall boy is the biggest lover ever and just wants to be best friends with everyone he sees. Dog? Baby? Adult? Herd of screaming children? It’s all the best thing ever to Peter!
Although he’s not the brightest pup there is, he is so eager to please! He’s fully crate trained and potty trained, but when he hears his humans get home he will bark for affection for a couple of minutes. He’s a super playful boy and loves chasing other dogs (and puppies!) in the yard, but also loves lounging on the couch watching tv at the end of a long day.
In addition to being the absolute sweetest, he walks so well on leash, loves to explore everything he can, and knows sit and down. We are working on some manners (Peter doesn’t realize he’s so big he can knock over little kids with his big ol’ kisses) but Peter is already an absolute gem of a boy.
Peter loves children and is being fostered with dogs, kids, and a baby. Because of his size, parents should just expect the occasional knocking down of a toddler with his clumsy trots around the house, but there is nothing he loves more than giving kisses to his human foster siblings!
