My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.

As ARIA  and her  siblings ( and Mom) found themselves in a rural and always over crowded shelter , never a good place for any dog, but especially for a sold black Mom ( black dogs are often overlooked in shelters ) and young puppies ( disease can spread quickly in shelters ).

As we  were searching for fosters , we found out another GSD rescue was also,  MAGSR.org , so we teamed up and saved Mom and family. Aria  and her sister Anko and her brother Abu  came to ASR.....and are settling in well in their foster homes.

They are adorable happy social puppies. Mom is  some kind of GSD mix :-) , but since she weighs 41 lbs and her pups are around 7 lbs at 8 weeks, we expect their maximum size will be 45-50 lbs., what we call " Pocket Shepherds " .

All puppies are cute but please keep in mind they are a 10-15 year commitment, the expense associated with puppies including health care, training and of course, a few chewed up shoes while they are teething :-)

When applying to adopt one of our puppies, please remember :

Up to the age of 8 months old, puppies cannot be left alone for a standard 8-9 work day.      Arrangements will have to be in place for 4 hour intervals until the pups are at least 8 months old.

Having someone with them every 4 hours until they are older greatly facilitates the housebreaking process as well as assists with the general  socialization  of your pup !

If you are not yet approved to adopt from All Shepherd Rescue, please fill out our online application at www.allshepherdrescue.com. Our adoption fee is $350.00

More about this rescue

We are a group of German Shepherd lovers who help homeless German Shepherds that are in dire straits and need rescue.

We rescue dogs from kill shelters or other situations where the dogs' life is in danger. We fully vet our dogs and our wonderful fosters care for our dogs until their "forever home" is found!

We are a dating service for dogs, helping potential adopters find the perfect match for their families. We will work with you tirelessly until we find the perfect fit for your family!

We make a lifetime commitment to every dog and every adopter and we are there to answer questions and help with the transition to your home.

Why do we do it? We LOVE dogs , especially German Shepherds, and it breaks our hearts that so many adoptable GSD's never make it out of shelters.

We are an all volunteer group and are always looking for new volunteers to help us in our mission to save dogs!

FOSTERS, we need YOU!!!!

We need fosters to provide a safe haven while a dog is waiting for his/her forever home! If you think you cannot foster because you couldn't let your foster dog leave, talk to us!! While many of us have adopted one or more of our fosters ( we call it Failing Fostering 101 !!!) we can tell you how wonderful it is to see your foster become a beloved addition to a new family.............and opens up a space to save another dog on death row!

If you have any questions at all about fostering please give us a shout and we are happy to answer all questions.

If you cannot foster, we always need volunteers to help host events, do fundraising and PR .

And , of course, we always need donations to pay the vets who keep our dogs healthy and the trainers who help us with doggie manners!

Donations are always welcome and very much appreciated!
