Sweet Pistachio spent three long months locked in a crate at a high-kill shelter where unbeknownst to him, his life was about to come to an end. While he pleaded for the warmth of the outdoors, and the comfort of an outstretched hand, his cries were heartbreakingly ignored. That is, until we intervened.
Pistachio, a three-year-old American Bulldog Mix, was picked up from the streets and tossed into a shelter, where he patiently awaited euthanasia. His life, so short and precious, was about to be taken from him. For months, he sat locked in a crate, unaware of the cruel fate that awaited him.
Thankfully, we heard about his heartbreaking situation in the nick of time and raced over to free Pistachio from his cold, bare cage. We pulled him out from behind harsh metal bars and into our caring arms, holding him tight so that he knew he was safe. Hastily, we took him away from the shelter, where he nearly met the end of his life, and transported him to an emergency clinic down the road where he would be properly assessed. There, he's being cared for while we search for a foster home. They've run tests, checked him for heartworm, and given him the K-9 Influenza H3N2 & H3N8 Vaccine to keep him healthy. We're focused on his recovery and finding him a loving home.
We are a small rescue focused on finding Pistachio the best, most loving forever loving home for this little guy. Now that Pistachio is free from the high-kill shelter, his new life journey has just begun.
