Hairy Harry is a wiry, snuggly dog that wants to be on your lap or near you as often as possible! His breed is a mystery, but he has a sweet, tiny face and the scruffiest body! For being a small dog, he hasn't been yappy at all - he will bark if there's a strange noise, but quiets down when asked. Harry enjoys settling into a crate with a cozy bed, but can usually be found searching for his favorite tiny humans to snuggle with, or sitting on your lap. He also is a great car rider.
Harry LOVES children and all adults. He needs to learn to not jump on people, so small children should be used to dogs that may try to knock them over for kisses (He's only 13lbs but can jump high!). Harry has not been a big fan of dogs that are larger than him. His ideal home would have a small dog around his size, maybe up to 20-ish lbs, or he would be perfectly fine having his humans all to himself. He has not been cat tested, but ran away from a cat he saw through a screened door
Harry was patient while getting a bath and being brushed, and didn't mind when he went to the groomer for a glow up. He is ready to be loved on by his furever family!
**Harry is heartworm positive and going through a slow-kill method of treatment (moxy-doxy). He is doing great and doesn't need to be sedentary like with other protocols. The rescue pays for his treatment and his foster mom is happy to share her experience with adopting a heartworm positive dog (it's great and not scary!).
