From his foster: Buck is a very affectionate loving dog who enjoys snuggling and giving lots of kisses. He currently lives with a cat and does very well with him. He has interacted with other dogs, is very shy but does well with them when other dogs come up to him, slow introductions are best. Buck is getting used to noises since most loud noises do startle him. Going for walks, he does well on a leash but stops to listen when he hears children playing and dogs barking. He tends to follow you around the house as he is very eager to know what you are doing and where you are going. He sleeps in bed every night and does well, although he takes up the entire bed. He enjoys being outside but beware, he would chase squirrels all day if he could. Buck is potty trained but does take awhile to use the bathroom outside, he likes to sniff everything first. We are still working with Buck as he is anxious and shy around new things but he has done very well since the first day. Buck is crate trained but prefers not to be in it.

More about this rescue
The Bond Between is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization that focuses on the bond between humans and animals. We were founded in 2009 as Secondhand Hounds. Since then, we have rescued over 29,000 dogs and cats with the help of thousands of fosters, volunteers, and supporters in our community. Our organization has grown from a rescue to a first-in-its-class animal wellbeing organization... now The Bond Between! We continue to provide safe shelter, proper veterinary care, and daily necessities for animals while working hard to help them build a bond with humans. We also focus on supporting the bonds that already exist between people and pets with our pet food shelf, respite foster care program, and focus on social services.
We wake up every morning saying YES to connecting people and animals, caring for them, and helping them fill each other’s hearts.
You can help support us today by donating, fostering, volunteering, or sharing The Bond Between.
