Sonny is a charming 4-year-old Chihuahua mix who is ready to find his forever home. This little guy is potty trained and has crate training, and he is an absolute sweetheart once given the chance to warm up to you.
Sonny can be a bit timid at first, and it's crucial that he is provided with the time and space to decompress. Approaching him too quickly or forcefully can overwhelm him, but when you give him the space to come to you at his own pace, he quickly becomes a loyal and affectionate companion.
He does need a little time to open up to new people, especially men, but with patience and understanding, he becomes more trusting. Sonny has a playful side too, as he loves to run around and engage in playtime. At the same time, he also knows how to be calm and enjoys resting quietly in his crate, which he adores.
Sonny does well with other dogs, but he prefers not to interact with them when he is inside the crate as it can make him anxious. For this reason, an ideal home for Sonny would be one that understands and values the importance of a rescue mindset, and is willing to provide him with the patience, love, and attention he deserves.
