My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Prada and Leland are a bonded pair of Chihuahua mix pups looking for their furever home!

Prada is Leland's mama, and they were pulled from the euthanasia list at a rural Arkansas shelter last summer. Prada was heartworm positive, and has successfully finished heartworm treatment. The mom and son pair were found as strays, after their family moved and didn't take them along, so they needed a hero, and PPAR stepped in to get them to safety.

Leland is neutered and UTD on vaccines. Prada is scheduled to be spayed (will be spayed before adoption) and is up to date on vaccines. Leland is a Chihuahua mix boy (possibly mixed with Corgi), estimated to be 1-2 years old. Prada is also a Chi mix, possibly mixed with Beagle, estimated to be around 4 years old.

They are both dog-friendly, and currently living with other dogs but would do great as your only babies as well. They are bonded and can only be adopted together.. Leland is the shyer one of the two, and is fearful of loud noises. His foster family says he is sweet and loving. Prada is friendly, but also timid when meeting new people. They are crate trained, and sleep together in a playpen.

These two are looking for a loving, calm home with an adopter who will give them the time they need to adjust and also all the love and attention they deserve in a furever home.

More about this rescue

We have a passion for senior animals. To be able to save an animal from dying alone in a shelter, to give it a chance to live out its last days/months/years in a home with the proper care and love it deserves, instead of a cold shelter, is what drives us to keep going.

We obviously have financial needs that come with rescuing senior dogs, so we will be rescuing puppies and younger dogs as well so we are able to care for our seniors.
