My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hey there, folks! It's me, Pegasus, the young, majestic brindle American bulldog with a tale as epic as my name suggests. I'm a burly bulldog with a coat of brindle fur that's as striking as a lightning bolt. But despite my larger-than-life appearance, I'm just a big ol' goofball with a heart of gold.

I'm not just your average dog-I'm a canine prodigy! I've been trained to perfection, and I know commands like nobody's business. Sit, stay, roll over-you name it, I've mastered it. I've got lots of toys but really prefer to play with sticks. I'm young but old school. And treats, I'm open to trying any and all of them.

I'll admit I do have one flaw, and that's my deep hatred of baths. Whoever invented them should be punished. Being drenched in water and covered in soap is a fate worse than fetch! But I suppose we could come to an understanding about baths if the treats are good enough.

I'm ready to start my chapter two with you in your home, even if you have a bathtub! Let's meet soon!

More about this shelter

Peggy Adams Animal Rescue League is a limited-admission humane society and provides services to over 34,000 cats, dogs, puppies, and kittens each year. Operating continuously since 1925, we have been positively impacting animal welfare and addressing overpopulation in Palm Beach County through a variety of services.

Our Vision is to create a community where 100% of the adoptable animals find loving homes and no animals will be euthanized because of pet overpopulation.

Peggy Adams Animal Rescue League, Humane Society of the Palm Beaches, is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization and does not receive funding from city, county, state, or federal government, or local organizations with similar names. We rely solely on the generosity of individuals, foundations, and corporations to provide quality programs and services to the community. Your donations directly support the services and programs in place to help animals in need.

Our mission is to provide shelter to lost, homeless and unwanted animals; to furnish medical and other services for the care of companion animals; to care for, protect, and find quality homes for homeless and neglected animals; to advocate animal welfare, community involvement, and education to further the bond between people and animals, for the mutual benefit of both.
