My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Adoption pending on 5/11/24
(We have a transport trip on 5/11/24 to NorCal and OR and would love to add Louie to our route if the right home comes along before then! Transport will be divided between all adopting families in route to help aleviate the total cost)
Meet Louie! He is a beautiful, purebred silver miniature schnauzer. He is a little over 1 year of age. He is set to be neutered, microchipped, and vaccinated on 4/24/24 and will be available for adoption soon after if all goes well! (His weight will be updated on 4/24/24)
He is house trained, and goes outside every couple of hours to use the restroom if needed. He is crate trained, and currently sleeps in a crate at night. He has wonderful house manners so he has free roam of our home during the day. He would love being in the room with his new family if permitted, but will happily sleep in a crate if desired as well. He is leash trained, and does very well on his walks. He rides very well in the car, and loves road trips no matter the distance. He is wonderful at the groomers, and truly enjoys his spa days. He is easy going, and highly adaptable. He is SWEET. He is NOT a barker, and has an extremely quiet, serene tempered, peaceful side to him. He is HAPPY just to be in the presence of his humans. He does NOT have an overbearing personality whatsoever. He is kind hearted. Extremely observant. He is a people and dog watcher 😂 He just likes observing the world at every angle, and truly teaches us to slow down and just take even the smallest things in. He is your definition of a true companion. Loving to dogs, and cats alike. Loves men, women, and children.
He is shy at first, and will walk up to give you a quick kiss, only to quickly remember his "shyness" 😂 Once he gets to know you, you will become his best friend, and one you do not want to miss out on calling your own ❤️
His owners owned both parents. (It was their first and last litter) and they fell in love with him, so they decided to keep him. Unfortunately raising three, in the end didn't end up being the right choice as he craved human attention and needed more from them than their others needed. They wanted him to have a fulfilled happy life, so they reached out to us here to find that for him ❤️
His adoption fee along with its breakdown will be on our website under his listing at breadoflifek9refuge.org. It will cover his neuter, vaccines, microchip, exam with our vet, time and care since with us these last couple of months, and his training. His adoption fee will be updated if anything else is needed at time of his neuter such as a dental cleaning, etc.

Their adoption process

1.

Interview

When we have out of area adoptions, we always schedule a phone interview first to ensure the dog inquired about is the perfect fit.

2.

Home Check

We request photos/videos of your home and yard space to ensure it's safe for the dog you are inquiring about.

3.

Sign Adoption Contract

Once all requirements are met, we will schedule a travel plan to bring your pup/dog to you. Adoption contracts are usually signed in person.

4.

Pay Fee

Adoption fees are paid in person, unless other arrangements have been made due to distance/travel plans requiring fees to be paid ahead

5.

Take the Pet Home

Once all above is met, the dog becomes the new adopting families pet and goes home with them.

Additional adoption info

Please check out our website As it explains a lot there at breadoflifek9refuge.org.
Since we travel out of state and all over the US we offer transportation whether by car, or flight as long as transport costs are covered. During our initial phone interview we will discuss any and all concerns to ensure every adoption goes as smoothly as possible from beginning to end.
