My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Buster Brown, an approximately five-year-old 25-pound beagle who acts like he’s part mountain goat-climbing on all the furniture. Buster is a retired medical research dog who is starting to learn the finer things in life. He’s sweet, curious, brave, and has a burgeoning mischievous streak that he uses to get into cheeky and fun shenanigans.
Buster Brown has lots of energy and loves playing with his toys and following his nose on long walks. But at the end of a long day of sniffing and playing, Buster wants nothing more than to snuggle up and make himself comfortable on your couch.
Buster sleeps happily in his crate through the night, as well as when we leave the house on errands. He likes the safety and comfort of the crate and enjoys snuggling up in the crate’s bed and blankets even when other options are available. Buster uses a sipper water bottle attached to the wall of his crate since he is used to it from his time at the research facility. He does not know how to use a water bowl and must be offered a sipper bottle in addition to extra water added to his wet food.
Buster is still adjusting to his new life and needs someone who will patiently help him learn the world can be friendly. Cars, loud noises, and people approaching are some of the things he needs help adjusting to. If you are looking for a companion who will add some fun and energy to your life Buster Brown is your man!

More about this rescue

Puppy Kitty NYC was founded in the Fall of 2014. As of July 2018, we are an official 501(c)(3) organization. We focus on three aspects: First, finding homes for abandoned or friendly street cats and kittens. Secondly, attempting to control animal overpopulation by spaying and neutering feral cats and helping the sick and injured. Thirdly, fostering is a must.
