Izzy is a two year old, 10 pound chiweenie. She is house trained, leash trained and crate trained (but would prefer to sleep in her human’s bed). She loves daily walks, playing fetch, and chewing on bones. She’s energetic, but also loves cuddling on your lap and giving snuggles. She is very smart and sweet natured.
She has some dog friends who she loves to play with, but is scared of most cats.
She is shy at first, but loves people. She can be skittish and fearful around small children, but would do great with a family with older children who are very dog respectful.
She attended puppy school and regularly goes to parks. She loves car rides. She has been socialized, but still can be a bit barky when meeting new people or dogs. Her foster has been working on giving her treats during walks to reward her when she’s quiet.
She just had her annual vet appointment last month and is up to date on all vaccines, etc. She’s a healthy dog. She was spayed when she was much younger.
Her favorite snacks are carrots and scrambled eggs.
And her favorite place is the beach- she loves to run in the sand and lie in the sun.
She’s a beautiful dog, inside and out.

We are doing adoption events at Pet Works Olympia. Come see us Sunday, May 12h at 1130 am. Generally we are there the 2nd Sunday of the month at 1130-130.
We set up the dogs in the groomers station at the Pet Works in downtown Olympia.
Please do apply and visit the dog with the foster so you still get to meet even if you can't make it to an event.
We have a few volunteers and also some dogs aren't fostered in Olympia, WA so not all of our dogs/pups will be at every event. So please apply:

We used to call ourselves Shayne's Rescue as we used to rescue dogs. Now, we are Shayne's Fosters as we foster TX rescue pups & dogs.. We assist several TX rescuers where shelters kill 80-99% of what comes in besides the millions and millions of strays on the streets. Hence, we foster for TX rescues who do impeccable jobs of vetting, quarantine all of their pups/dogs and send up the best dogs we have ever met. All have a health certificate prior to transport (vet visit). We work super hard volunteering and we can always use more assistance from volunteers!
