Kirby was born on December 25, 2017 and brought to Lee Shores Rescue in North Carolina with his mom and two litter mates as a puppy. He was quickly adopted out to a couple that wasn't ready for a dog. I adopted him when he was 1.5 years old in 2019 when I was in college in Tennessee.
In 2022 I moved to New York City for work and Kirby has had a really hard time adjusting to the city life. He has developed some leash aggression and separation anxiety. He's been on and off medications to mitigate his anxiety, but nothing makes enough of a difference to improve his quality of life. After much consideration, I've decided it's time to let my baby go so he can have a life that makes him happy.
